Is the water intake valve something my not very handy husband could do or is this something that would require more expertise? He did replace the garbage disposal once; we were both a bit suprised he did it.
I am pretty sure it's the intake valve because the cold water just trickles in but other water temps are fine.

Piece of pie, comrade! This repair is not quite a full mug on the SUDs-o-meter.
Remove the washer cabinet and the valve is right there on the rear bulkhead.
