Vermont Castings VPHS40MN Patio Heater

Have this patio heater that shuts itself off. Repair guy said it was either the valve or thermocoupler. Any experience with this unit? (apparently Vermont has gone bankrupt)
Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

I would guess maybe something is overheating or maybe a weak over temperature device.
I can't find any reference to the model number you put up.
If you think it is the themocouple , go to the hardware store and buy a $ 3 thermocouple and replace the one that is there. If the heater is more than 5 yrs old and has seen regular use , the thermocouple may be worn out .
