GE Profile Refrigerator PFS22SISBSS Door Latch

3 posts in this topic

I have a GE Profile PFS22SISBSS refrigerator (stainless steel, french doors, bottom freezer) with a broken door latch. I have included pictures of the two doors, one with the latch and one without. Whenever I close the good door, the air pressure opens up the bad door enough to let out cold air but not enough to set off the door alarm. I'm wondering what the part number I need to order is, and how involved the repair will be. The piece that the white latch was attached to inside the door was also broken and so will need to be replaced. Unfortunately this happened quite a while ago and so I don't have the broken latch to show you.

Thank you for any help you can provide!

Holy buckets!

I think I'll look into a magnet or something instead. No way am I spending $243 on that! Thanks for the info.
