Over the past couple of days, my dishwasher has gotten pretty noisy while the motor is running (a whirl sound). It's only 1/2 a year old, so I don't expect bearings to be shot. I took the kick plate off, and luckily there is no water. If I push the motor back a bit (towards the back of the unit, parallel to the floor, the unit is quiet as can be. If I let off the gentle pressure, the noise starts coming back.
I'm tempted to get a rather large ball of duct tape and wedge it under the motor, but I'm hoping you guys have a better idea. Is the motor just a bit loose in the mounting bracket? Perhaps jostled during install?
