Greetings,
I have a Maytag top loader MAV6200AWW. It kicked off after filling the tub like it was going to move to the next cycle but did not, and now it is unresponsive.
I bailed out some water and tried to get it to fill up again and it would not.
I happened to have a another timer for this model around, so I switched it out and it did not solve the problem.
I checked to see if the outlet had power, the breaker was tripped, water was getting to the washer and all that checks out.
Could it be the lid switch? The washer should fill up even with the lid open right? That's why I deduced the lid switch was probably not the problem because the wash did not fill once I lowered the water level.
Not really sure where to go from here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure ...
some of those models have a 10A Fuse...
and the Lid Switch has been redesigned ...
If you could test for Line power at the Lid Switch L1 Black (to chassis, ground)
and also from SW Red (to chassis, ground)

Ok where is the fuse located?
But shouldn't the water fill up even if the lid is open? I'm pretty sure it did, but I have been wrong before.

Just an update...
Apparently power to the machine is routed through the lid switch, and when it fails it can cut power to everything, thus making my previous diagnosis incorrect.
I found a service manual for the machine and tested the lid switch with a multimeter and it turned out to be the problem.
I replaced it and I'm good to go!
