Kenmore/Roper 911.41065690 Random F2 Error code

3 posts in this topic

Oven has faulted several times (F2) only when using the delayed bake feature and doesn't happen every time. Based on the info from this website, it appears that I need to check the oven sensor and/or harness. Praying its not the ECB.

Since this is a built in I have two questions.

1. Should I attempt to remove and test the sensor without removing the oven from the wall by removing screws and pulling wiring harness through the oven wall.

2.If so, are there any special precautions to take when placing the new unit back in the oven. Seems like there is no good way to ensure the wiring harness isn't in contact with the back of the oven wall.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Jason.

1. Should I attempt to remove and test the sensor

.. if it's only intermittent, testing may not reveal any problems

F2

Oven Over Temperature Exceeded 590F

ERG measures resistance of sensor circuit, not actual oven temp.

If actual over temperature condition did occurred:

· Look for welded relay contacts.

If over temperature condition did not occur:

Look for a high resistance connection or any other cause of high resistance in the sensor circuit.

Will do. Unit will be out use for a while as of this weekend due to a surgery so I will have time to diagnose. Thanks for such a fast response!
