Hello, I have a quick question on the Agitator on this unit. The agitator stopped spinning, I've removed the agitator to make sure the transmission is working properly, which it is, it spins with plenty of force. If i screw the Cap Stud down very tight, the agitator spins correctly for a little bit as long as it has no resistance, but then it just spins the Cap Stud back loose. From the diagrams I've seen i just need to replace the Drive Hub. Does this sound correct? And if so, how do i replace the drive hub? Can i just knock the only one out with a screw driver/hammer, and then replace it with a new one? Or do you have to replace the entire Agitator Plastic piece? Does the top plastic Agitator Cap need to tighten down tight, or is it more there just for looks? Please let me know, And thank you very much in advance!

Yes it sounds as if the agitator insert has stripped splines and the agitator shaft is slipping inside it - you can pound the insert from the agitator as expected, sometimes not so easy to get the new one in. We used to use a length of threaded rod, a couple of nuts and some large washers as a makeshift puller and "press" the insert in
