Bosch WFR2460 will not start; door will not lock

I have a Bosch Axxis +, model WFR2460. I were having problems where the door would intermittently not unlock after a cycle. Fiddling with the controls (turning on and off, changing cycle, etc) would usually unlock it. I checked the filter to make sure it wasn't clogged.
Then about 10 days ago it stopped unlocking and we had to pull the lock release tab.
Now it won't lock at all. It just makes a grunting grinding sound when the Start button is pushed.
Any idea what I should check? Does anybody have a service manual for the WFR2460, or know where I can find one?
Thanks,
--Jeff

Lets get some error codes:
-Rotate selector switch to Off position. Press & hold Menu & Select buttons (located under display), then rotate selector switch ccw to Permanent Press Cold until display comes on.
-With T1 on the display press "start".
-Write down all error codes and the number of times they are listed as 7 - Er: 1 where in this case the 7 is the number of times and the Er: 1 is the error code.
-Scroll thru the list using the menu button.
-After you get all the codes turn it off and post the codes and number of times. ignore all codes that have a 0 for the number of errors and that is a no error found.

I ran test program 3 (Automatic test program). Since the door wouldn't lock, the test never started. It beeped and said, "Error 04"
Error 04 is "Door Actuation Defective". The service manual says to "replace controller". Is the controller in question the door lock assembly http://www.repaircli...Number=WFR2460? Think that will fix it?

Any suggestions on what to do? I'm stumped!
Thanks in advance.

Well, this is new! That's the droid we were looking for.Start button is pushed, and I get Error 04 reported.
Er:04 is the code for defective door actuation. Since the signal for the door latch assembly comes from the main controller and the door latch assembly has been replaced, that on;y leaves the controller. The service manual confirms this and says to replace the controller.

Thanks for the guidance, though. Guess I'll return the door latch assembly, and then make a decision where to go from here.
