Whirlpool duet washer WFW9750WW01

6 posts in this topic

This washer has water heavy clothes after cycle is finished.

First I cleaned out the drain pump ( bobby pin was found lodged in impeller) .

Then after that ended up replacing drain pump altogether.

Still clothes are not spun out after cycle is finished.

No error codes. When unit is tested for drain/spin it works fine.

Don't know what to check for at this point.

Any ideas?

I would suspect the water inlet valve may not be closing. The water inlet valves on these Duets seem to have a high failure rate.

We have gotten tons of complains about it. The recommended fix by Whirlpool is replace the MCU if everything else checks ok.

Check These:

Drain hose not siphoning back into washer,

Inlet Valve for dripping overnight,

Shocks,

Springs,

Level Unit,

Sorting of Clothing (bad sorting = jeans with t-shirts),

Load Size (About 2/3 full max),

HE detergent only (Tide, Gain, Cheer)
