Whirlpool finally listened to my complaints and several other technicians complaints!
On the Duet Front loader washers and dryers Whirlpool has received tons of complaints from service technicians about doing away the lower front access panel on their washers and dryers that they have brought back the access panels so now cleaning out a drain pump in a front load washer no longer involves taking the top panel and the complete front access panel off!
That's great news, especially if the dryer is stacked ontop of the washer in a closet!

I'm sure they heard from some customers too, after getting a $300 + bill to clean their pump
