Maytag MLG200AWW washer does not spin

Washer does not spin at the end of the cycle. When testing by placing the rotary control knob on the Spin position, I hear a hum.

That may be the sound of the drain Pump.
Water need to be fully drained before it will Spin.

water was drained. Since I posted the question (and thanks so much for the fast response), I studied the door latch/wax motor assembly. It seems that the motion of the latch shaft is not full -- the door lock seems to lock but the door switch is not engaged and neither is the right hand spin switch.
