OK. So even they said the problem is intermittent. I'm guessing F4 does mean a shorted sensor, but it seems to test OK. The codes I'm looking at may not be for this model. I'm tracing the wires and they LOOK okay.

Did you try a new Sensor ?
(price is right)
(may be intermittent)
OR may be a bad Controller ...

So glad to hear from you as always. I brought another sensor with me, but since I have to cut the wires since they changed the design, I was hesitant to install it. I switched the two existing sensors, but since it is an intermittent problem, and they are both behaving fine now, who can tell. I guess I'll bite the bullet and install the new one, but I don't want to be called back to re-diagnose. I guess I have plenty of time before Thanksgiving for the problem to show up again if I am wrong.

When the issue is intermittent like that it often means a connector is corroded in the harness, or the wiring somehow burnt/loose/damaged (sensor harness). Can be effected by heat and use of oven
