I know .... I read the faq and the flowchart and read all the posts ... I just dont want to believe i have sealed system failure. So here is a picture to share and ask if there is any chance it is something else...

Yes this is the same machine from :

http://appliantology...__fromsearch__1

And I saw other threads with the same photo :wallbash:

... And the name of a good tech ? should I order this part myself ahead of his visit and get it done in one trip?

I need the serial number to find out if anything is still under warranty. Most of the Sub Zero units have a 12 year part only warranty.

Where do you live so I can reccommend a technician in your area?

You guys are great .... There is also the 50-EC flashing "service" and Error Code 24 . Should I continue trouble shooting the defrost underheat, or will the sealed system repair take care of that as well???

Thank you and tipping one back in gratitude. :pint1:

Serial number M2226830 700TC-2, installed in 2004 i believe .... I live near Walnut Creek, California in 94507

... EC flashing "service"
... Error Code 24 .

1) excessive Compressor run time .. yea, runs "forever" because it can't cool enough
2) Defrost "under-heat" .. Defrost cycle wasn't very long time ... yea, not much to Defrost

12 yr warranty on sealed system parts - - you pay labor
