I use a 3 foot long beice of copper tubing slightly bent at the buisness end attached to a washing machine hose with the female end cut off. use a pex tubing clamb or hose clamp to secure the copper to the hose. flatten the buisness end of the copper tubing with a hammer so a nice flat spray comes out with some velocity. I have a garden hose shutoff valve I bought at home depot on the other end of the washing machine hose. I am able to get the copper tubing into the condenser from the top either through the metal fins, or I will remove the screws of the top and move it out of the way slightly. This washes the coil cleaner out of the coil beautifully.

Save the caustic coil cleaners for the really dingy coils. If you lift the fan and flush the coil from the inside out with a good spray nozzle every April and again in July the coil will never really need to strong stuff. I've seen too many coils with badly pitted and eaten away fins from too much chemicals. Just my two cents.

I have seen them badly pitted and eaten away from too much dog urine.

LOL! It blows the mind how much damage can be done to the corner of a condensing unit by a dog peeing on it.
