If you have a PDF that isn't already in the File library here at Appliantology, send it to us by attaching it to the contact form.
Also, follow this Calendar Event so you'll get notified of new posts here. Look for the "Follow" button either at the top of the topic on desktop or below the topic on mobile.

Kenmore Dryer not drying, Model # 110.66652500

I have a Kenmore Electric Dryer Model # 110.66652500 when you push the push to start switch nothing happens. No heat and no tumbling. Of course the tech sheet is not there. I have the 240 to the dryer. The light in the dryer works. I checked the door switch and it is working properly. I have 120 volts to the timer and a little relay (?) next to the timer, but I have nothing going to the push to start switch. I looked at a parts breakdown of this dryer and it doesn't even show that relay (or whatever that is that is next to the timer) in the breakdown. I have to believe that my problem is with the timer. Any thoughts?? Can I get the tech sheet and wiring diagram for this model?

Thanks,

Wan

Disconnect the power cord and remove the exhaust duct. Remove the rear panel. On the left side of the exhaust duct you will see a small fuse about 1 and 1/2 inches long by 1/2 inch wide and white in color. Remove the wires from this fuse. Use your meter set for ohms and touch the meter leads to the 2 terminals on the fuse. No reading is a bad fuse, replace it. If the fuse reads good(continuity) check the door switch for continuity. Button depressed should read continuity. Button released will read 0. If door switch is bad replace it.

... thermal fuse as well and it was good.

check for voltage at each side of Thermal Fuse to chassis (ground)

if you're sure, then the the Timer is likely bad

They actually replaced the thermal fuse before I was called and I checked it anyway just to be sure and it was good. Thanks for all of your help and the wiring diagram.
