So i'm not sure if this dishwasher really needs a new front panel, or if the door switches are bad, or the controller board is bad... but i started investigating front panels.
in the parts database for this machine, i see two part numbers for the front panel. one has mfg part number 6-915433 and is like $50, and the other has mfg part number 6-915434 and is priced around $200.
is the difference here that one is just the buttons/display and the other includes the controller board? i can't find any details about this; the picture for the more expensive one only shows the front view.

oh duh, it's just the color? the Bisque one must be made with Unobtanium.
i'm going to check the door switches first since the report was that it would run for X minutes and then stop; opening and closing the door caused it to re-start.
