What I found was that near the end of the fill cycle intermittent dribble of hot water is coming out of a vent hole at the top of the fill/drain "manifold" on left side of machine. This happens when the machine is getting its last few spurts of water to satisfy float fill switch and the wash pump has already started. It appears that their is a surge of water coming back down hose that goes from this manifold to the front side of drain pump. This surge of water meets the spurts of water from the fill valve and the dribble occurs out the vent hole.

Sounds like the fill valve is bad and allowing water to fill too fast and thus overflow at the fill assy on the side. Replace the fill valve.
