The contactor (or a relay) on this range clicks ON and OFF every 30 secs as the oven is heating.
Loud and annoying and surely not typical (I hope).

Any thoughts....?

Not sure if your sound is louder than usual, but this is typical of all electric ranges...
On some that have no "heat on" indicator light, I use this to tell when the element is cycled on and off while I do calibrations...
As every cockroach knows , thriving on poisons is the secret of success.
