KInda lazy, and tired of waiting 30 seconds for a modular head Ice Maker to cycle. Besides it looks like a cool tool to have, I had one at Sears and it was really neat. Any suggestions? http://www.repaircli...er/IMT1/1373190

... tired of waiting 30 seconds for a modular head Ice Maker to cycle

still would have to wait to ensure it cycles properly...
Seems like just a few Switches and Lights, properly positioned to monitor the IceMaker Cycle.
but impressive looking to the Customer

was just thinking that it would help with checking for frozen water lines, and for the wow effect of the customer, to seal the deal on some cod ice maker calls that I get.

well Reg like I said I'm, lazy, I like the idea of having an easy way to test the ice makers, and valves without waiting for the Ice maker to cycle. I can tell if the tstat is bad by a light, and can force a cycle with out getting shocked anymore. Just a simple thought, I think its neat, and would love to find one cheap.

Call My local wonderful parts house....http://www.dlpartsco.com/ . I'm not sure if it's in the catalog but call the Durham NC office 800-543-6414. Ask to speak with Mike (the manager, not Mike "the new guy" as he may not know what you are talking about), Todd or Tina. These guys are great. When I told them about it, they went hunting. They began carrying it. Tell em Durham Appliance Thrift & Repair sent ya.

This thing is great when testing those indoor ice with optics also. I found it easier to attach it and tape down the button as oppose to using a jump wire that gets smushed up against the freezer wall.

It was made to work for the whirlpool modular ice maker only. I still run into quite a few of those on a weekly basis. I can put one of these things on an icemaker and diagnose it in less time than I can unzip my meter case or put in a jumper wire.

Not to mention the fact it has buttons and blinking lights and stuff. How cool is that? And there is nothing on earth better than a gadget except a gadget that actually works. Yeah, I'm a sucker for gadgets but customers stare at it in awe and sometimes I even let them press one of the buttons! Being good at what you do is of utmost importance but there's no doubt sizzle sells.

Just placed my order for one at RepairClinic based on your voucher, Brother Durham.  Maybe I'll make a video showing it in action?

You can test the water valve for more than 7 seconds, if needed......
