Frnt load Wash wont final spin #FTF2140ES3

3 posts in this topic

Hello,

I have a Fridgidaire front load washer 5-6 years old model #FTF2140ES3 and it has refused to yeild the final high speed spin. I have cleaned the filter area and hoses, and replaced the front panel door latch/lock assembly #131763202 and still cannot get a final spin.

This problem has been comming on like a mechanical failure, happening more and more frequently untill finally just wont go past the last drain cycle no matter the function you select.

Now, the only thing that I can see that doesn't look right is after starting the "drain rinse" function the "no spin" and "door lock" lamps are lit but nothing happens.

If you posses the knowledge required to fix this F%^#@$% thing, kindly share it with me.

Many tthanks!

W Costello

While it's in the Spin Cycle, is the Door Locked ?

Is it really locked ?

If so, un-plug the Washer from the Wall Outlet.

Can you then open the Door right away,

OR only after a few minutes ?

To recall an error code,

Wake the machine by pressing any button

Wait 5 seconds

Press and hold the Start and Pause Cancel buttons simultaneously

All LEDs will go blank and after a few seconds the control will signal the stored code using audible beeps and blinking LEDs.

The control will repeatedly signal the code, as long as the Start and Pause Cancel buttons are pressed.

The five indicator lights of Door Lock, Wash, Rinse, Final Spin and Control will flash the

number of times for the first digit of the code

and the Start indicator light will flash the number of times for the second digit.

Here's a sample of an Error Code 43

Had this happen on a friend's washer, replaced the control board and it fixed the problem. Can't tell you why because I never was able to catch it when it acted up. Frig-i-dare-ya's seem to have 2 problems around here. 1, Door latch. . . 2, Control board.
