Dryer vent venting

Of all the things I do on a daily basis, near the top of the things I hate the most is connecting hoses on a dryer vent. It's like the dryer engineer said..."okay the vent pipe should be exactly 5 inches in diameter" and the hose manufacturer said "okay the hose should be 5 inches in diameter exactly. Sometimes, no problem. Other times I even scare myself with curses like eternal damnation or perpetual puss filled hemorrhoidic bleeding I heap on those idiots.

Appliantology is, however appliances are not, an exact science for I know there are a few refrigerators that actually hate me.

I carry a tub in the service van with a few seleced pieces of 4" pipe, a few 90 adjustable elbows, foil tape, aviation snips , plus a CRIMPER ( Malco C5 )....Try to crimp the up-stream end / direction of air flow............
