Wolf R364C-LP Oven Loud Ignition

2 posts in this topic

The 1st Wolf I had, same model, went Boom, big Boom, when the oven ignited--Wolf sent me this one in replacement. It was quiet, normal, for 2 yrs. Now, when the glow plug fires up, there's a whoosh for about 3-4 seconds--not sure if it's gas or air making the loud sound--it doesn't have the explosive sound of the Boom unit, but it doesn't sound right and my wife frowns at me every time it whooshes.

Flame is uniformly blue at base but flickers significantly orange as it waves up.

Anyone else eperince this or have thoughts?

The ignitor bracket might be bet just enough that it moved the ignitor's working surface just enough away from the burner ignition ports to delay ignition. The ignitor needs to be at a 90 degree angle with the burner tube. You can bend it by hand to get it back in position.
