My Kenmore front load washer does all other cycles but has a problem going into final spin. This happened after I replace the shocker arms after one broke. Now it won't perform final spin unless the load is lessened. It only agitates when the load is regular and when it does go into final spin it makes very load banging sounds. Please help.

Ruh row-- I think we might be dealing with a broken drum support spider here, which would also explain why the shocks broke in the first place. Open the door, reach in and grab the lip of the inner basket. If you can move it all independently from the outer drum, then that's a hit on the broken drum spider.

WOW Yes it feels like the inner drum is not connected to the outer drum.Samurai Repairman, what are alternate names for "drum support spider " I cannot seem to find a part with this name on the tech diagrams for this washer.

To eliminate:

Musty odor

L-O-N-G cycle times

Dingy/yellowing whites

Suds error message

Slow spin speeds

Intermittent water leaks (from rear of washer)

And other annoying symptoms which vary brand-to brand.

Read below:

The *correct* amount of HE (High Efficiency) detergent that should be used in any front load or agitatorless top load washer with tub sizes 3.0 cu ft and larger is as follows:

HE: (2) Tablespoons Per Wash Load

HE 2X: (1) Tablespoon

HE 3X: (1) Teaspoon

Perform a TUB CLEAN CYCLE every (4) months.

Use: "Tide Washing Machine Cleaner"
