LRA on this compressor is 11.9.
I need to know the running amperage in this unit as well as the hi/lo operating pressures.
At 10.5 oz of R-134a weighed in I am reading 1.0-1.1 amps and 0 psi lo side 75 psi hi side pressures.
The unit had a restriction.
I removed the filter drier.
Added sevive valves.
Did a nitrogen purge.
Replaced the filter drier and weighed in refrigerant.

How's the unit performing? Frost pattern?

I did see something I have not seen in all these years.
The compressor is on top of this box. The condenser cavity is dark(of course).
When I started the unit I noticed some arcing on the capacitor. Tiny little sparks and constant.
I shut it down to read the cap. Rated at 12 mfd and reading 10.2.(1.8 mfd less)
I don't like to see a variance greater than 10%.
I did not have another with me.
Upon re-connection I think it got a better connection, the sparks went away.

Hey ,what were the engineers smokin' when they set that condenser in there facing the REAR? WTF?
Ever try to clean one of those things?
5 minutes alone is all I need with those asshats...

In most cases,if it is difficult to do you are doing it wrong.
