GE washing machine has a mind of its own....

2 posts in this topic

I have a three year old, GE model # wbse2090a2www washing machine. Recently it has been acting up. Once I choose the cycle, start the water fill, add detergent and the clothes, the washer will sometimes complete the cycle. Though this is only completed maybe 1 out of every 5 times. Sometimes the washer will stop after filling, sometimes it will stop after the wash and rinse, sometimes it will stop in the middle of filling, or just before the final spin. It seems to stop whenever it wants to, a single load of laundry can take up to 1-1/2 hours, and getting very frustrating. I was looking for some advise as to what might be the problem, I was thinking maybe the timer, but I am not too sure. Thanks.

I would guess timer, too, but that's all it'd be without looking at the wiring diagram making some measurements. The wiring diagram should be located inside the control panel. Post it here or fax it to me at 775-416-4449.
