This has been an ongoing problem since I bought this wall oven.   It is a Thermador, single door, 30" wall oven - model SECD302B.    The door closes "almost" all of the way - leaving the oven light on.   Being a bit cheap, my remedy has been to wait a bit longer for the oven to heat and keeping the oven light off by putting a small oven mitt between the door and the light switch.   I would imagine the gap is between a half and a quarter inch.  Like I said....it almost closes.

I'm hoping there is a quick and easy adjustment I can make to the hinge.  Another message board described an adjustment for another model and it was not applicable to mine (i.e. no hinge plate similar to the one described in the other message board).   Otherwise, I'm guesing that I'll have to change the hinge.   If I do need to change the hinge, where should I buy it and is it a relatively easy project to take on?   A good guage for me is how long would such a repair take a pro?

Thank you !!

On these wall ovens, it's usually just a bent hinge assembly ==> http://www.repaircli...er=SECD302BB/01

You should replace both as a set.

In rare circumstances, the anchor pin in the oven cabinet may get bent.  That's worst case.  Just give a visual on em when you remove the door.

Is this a difficult repair?   If I were a Grand Master, how long would you expect such a fix to take me?

General rule of thumb on how long a repair will take is somewhere less than a day but more than a minute. :)

For this job, should take you about half an hour if it's just the hinge assembly.
