IceMaker cycle time is dependent on Freezer temperature.
Colder temperatures freeze water quicker.

Some where out there is a Whirlpool gizmo called ( I think ) an ' Exceler-ice'..It is installed at the end of the standard ice maker, just remove the plastic cover and add the unit...Has a motor and fan to blow air over the mould...Gotta check your model number to see if the Exceler-ice unit fits your I/M.................... P.S........that model number did not show up at the sears site ...............106.10122507

106 is Whirlpool...
W10122507 is a Whirlpool IceMaker ..

Us techs live by model numbers...If the I/M has the cover facing out , the blower unit may fit...If it is a side ways I/M I do not think there will be enough room.............The 'Eceler-ice' adds about 2 to 3 to the length of the I/M........................... News flash and update...... It is called Acceler-ice .................. $55 clams on E-Bay....
