If you have a PDF that isn't already in the File library here at Appliantology, send it to us by attaching it to the contact form.
Also, follow this Calendar Event so you'll get notified of new posts here. Look for the "Follow" button either at the top of the topic on desktop or below the topic on mobile.

Do you mean AC....DC?

The AC coil and the DC coil are listed as replaceable parts.

Is the blower working OK?

The sail switch?

Limit switch?

All OK?

it is 120 v ac, but the solinoinds say 24vdc.they ohm at 045. the local apsc say i have to change the whole valve.the blower works. it will fire for about a second and won't relite. but the blower and fan keep ruunning. that's why i think it is the gas valve.like on a gas dryer.the part @'s on the valves are c5308 & c5305 both 2 wire.

thanks

I would jump out the sail switch and the limit switch.

I would check for power at the coils after jumping out the 2 switches.

No power at the coils is a bad control board.

Power at the switches and no light, bad coils.

Also, the flame sensor could be suspect.

It is at the ignitor.

How do you adjust the flame on the heater? i know it is not right, but how do you even see the flame? I lit it out of the heater and it was a big yellow flame. I reinstalled, lit it, and it stinks and does not sound like it is burnig right.

from the posted manuals:

BURNER

The Burner requires no adjustments, but should be inspected annually.

Burners should be cleaned with a wire brush to remove debris and corrosion build up.

Has this Heater worked OK for you up till now at this installation ?

Originally set up for Propane ?

Still being used with Propane ?

it has been sitting for 3+ years. my daughter & son in law just got it. as far as i know it was propane. the stove works fine.if it was set for natural gas, nothing should work, right?

It would work if set for the incorrect fuel, just will not work correctly.

The gas valve itself is based upon pressure from the correct gas supply.

Your uninstalled big yellow flame is too much air.

Your small stinky flame is too little air.

The burner tube may have lint or spider webs inside it.

... it has been sitting for 3+ years.

left disconnected from a gas supply ?

Was the Gas input pipe line "capped" OR left "open" to the moist air ?

The Gas Valve (regulator) may now be rusted inside.

PRBABLY NOT CAPPED.THE GAS RUNS STAIT FROM TANK TO HEATER. NO REGULATOR ON TANK. PUT A REGULATOR ON TANK AND THE COOK TOP DID NOT WORK RIGHT. I WILL TRY AND CHECK THE GAS PRESSURE WITH ANOTHER GAUGE.

WHAT NEXT?
