I have a Maytag washer Model: MAV7600AWW that works great but has an extremely loud clunk followed by a very loud screech sound. Here is a video What could this be?

Will I need to buy a new drive pulley if mine looks like it is in good shape? Can this job all be done from the bottom of the washer?

My drive pulley, bearings and washers look like they are in great shape. Is it necessary to replace them with the pulley and bearing kit?

Click on the Link and it shows the included items - one is an encapsulated bearing, if yours has the sandwich of 5 or 7 washers then it is a good idea to upgrade this to the improved style bearing that is pictured.
