Samsung WF448AAP/XAA washer door boot - replacement part differences

2 posts in this topic

I posted earlier about replacing the door boot seal for a Samsung

I was wrong earlier it was not a XAC but a XAA, so it was the US Model.

So I order the part and follow the instructions.

BUT WAIT! The hose nozzles don't fit the new boot!

Looking at the old boot the model number is:

DC64-01570A HJ1

the new boot is

DC64-01570A HJ2!!!!

Looks like a different revision code! Dang, no dealer seems to differentiate between HJ1 & HJ2, WHAT DO I DO NOW!?!?

A common problem for servicers as well.

If both gaskets are the same size (I am sure that they are)---but the new gasket does NOT have the necessary holes for various plastic nozzles from the old gasket...

Simply poke a hole in the area of the new gasket for the nozzles.

Use a sharp razor tool or pointed tool (scratch awl).

Add silicone grease (or dish detergent liquid) to the nozzle(s) and force it through the "new" hole.
