We purchased this set about a year ago. Of course it starts acting up one month after the warranty expires. The symptoms are odd and sporadic.
  • The spin and drain is not working properly. Clothes are still soaked at the end of the cycle.
  • Yesterday when I was emptying the washer there were items in the tub that were still dry.
  • Lock light is flashes continously.

Company sent a technician yesterday, pretty sure he ate alot of lead paint chips when he was a kid. Not feeling too confident.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Yes, its WTW5500XWO

WTW5500XW0
that's better
from the WTW5500XW0 use & Care Guide:

Lid Locked light is flashing.

The lid is not closed.
Close the lid. The washer will not start or fill with the lid open.

A cycle was stopped or paused using the START/PAUSE/UNLOCK button.
The washer may still be spinning.
The lid will not unlock until the basket has stopped spinning.
This may take several minutes if washing large loads or heavy fabrics.

Is the lid lock the same thing as the door hook?

it could also be the shift actuator. I have seen them where the speed sensor part of it goes bad and that will cause the lid lock light to blink because the machine control board looses sense of how fast the basket is spinning.
