My Kitchenaid side-by-side refrigerator (KSCS25FKSS02) has not been cooling down sufficiently, both freezer and frig. Thought it could be the control board and replaced it, however problem remains. Compressor runs fine. Evaporator fan in freezer seems to kick on only for a few seconds and then stops. Fan motor seems to be OK, just seems to be a problem with whatever is controlling the motor. Could it be a problem with the thermostat? Any suggestions?

Getting an error code for evaporator fan motor and VC compressor. Max cooling is ~20 for freezer and ~45-50 for refrigerator. Coils are not overly iced up.

Coils are evenly frosted. As I mentioned, get the 03 and 05 error codes in the diagram..

... Fan motor seems to be OK

what tests indicate the Evaporator Fan is OK ?

No tests yet. Just the fact it runs OK (no noise or anything) for first few seconds, spins freely, etc. Is there something in the motor that would shut it down after a few seconds? Motor does seem to be getting power so does appear to be a problem with the motor.

... Is there something in the motor that would shut it down after a few seconds? .

the MotherBoard senses the "speed" winding in the Evaporator Fan Motor,
evidently the M/B doesn't like the speed.
