Got a issue with this range and am trying to figure out whether its the control board or touch pad. Inside light goes on and off by itself and beeps ever time this happens and when you start Broil it will begin to heat and element gets orange hot then panel goes dead, broil element shuts off, no buttons will work until you press the " Cancel" button and then the touch pad works.
Any ideas as to what would be causing this? I'm kinda leaning towards a control board but not sure thats going to fix it.

Not sure in this model that if you disconnect the touchpanel from the control board and power if back up, it'll immediately throw an error code (watchdog circuit). The schematic may indicate this but me no gottee. You could try that and see what happens. If no error code, then let 'er ride for a bit and see if starts playing poltergeist with the oven light.

Service manual added to the Downloads section here ==> http://appliantology...tric-range-jes/

There's a touchpanel keypad test spec on pg. 16; control board test on pg. 14 & 15.
