I just cleared out 149 Appliantology e mails.
My settings are correct I think.

What kind of emails? Notifications of replies to topics you participated in?

At the bottom of the emails, there's a link to unsubscribe.

You can also set your notification preferences in your profile settings. Very detailed and granular control over email settings on that page.
