My Kitchenaid dishwasher, model number KUD102CRBS2, is not working. I selected the normal cycle and press start, sometimes it flashes and fills up with water but thats it. I bought a new control board, and just installed it, it filled with water and then nothing else happened. I cancelled the wash and tried heavy duty wash, the normal light flashed and nothing happened. I tried to unplug it and plug back in but the normal light just flashes and nothing happens

Sounds like a bad touchpad/console to me.

A quick flashing LED over a keypad usually indicates that key is stuck.

Should be a tech sheet behind kick panel that will explain.

Thanks for the replies guys.

Ok so I have to check the motor. How do I check the motor specifically? The motor did come on once and was making a sound for about 20-30 seconds I think but I didn't hear a clicking sound and it will not turn on again.

I did find the tech sheet and tried to go through the "checking keypad operation" listed but got no response from the machine. I did try to press normal wash and start but nothing happened other than the normal light kept flashing. I pressed heavy duty wash and the normal light turns on instead and just blinks.

... the normal light just flashes and nothing happens

from the KUDI02CRBS2 Tech Sheet - 8572216.pdf
"A rapidly blinking LED over one of the keys of the keypad (or sometimes a “dead” keypad/console)
indicates one or more key switch lines are stuck or shorted on either the control or the keypad."
