New part #WDBA0501000000
Digital appliance controls is the manufacturer of both.
The panel is new production date 01/06/2012
Purchased at appliance parts warehouse in Marietta, ga
The issue with the old part was when pushing start button it was changing a different setting. Example is turning on delay starte or soil level instead of starting. You would have to keep tapping the power button to turn it on ect.

1. Press power button to clear any current cycles. Note: The display must be blank to proceed. 2. Disconnect the power for 30 seconds.
3. Reconnect power and within 30 seconds of reconnecting power:
a. Press signal button.
b. Press delay start button.
c. Press signal button.
d. Press delay start button. (The door will lock, then will display t01.)
Note: A washer left in the test mode will exit the test mode and unlock the door after a period of 2 hours.

Whenever I cannot access the TEST MODE beyond T02---I keep thinking of the movie: "Failsafe".
A computer malfunction erroneously transmits the *go signal* to nuke-armed SAC bomber Group Six---to attack Moscow.
All attempts to recall/cancel the go-ahead orders are futile---and ultimately Moscow is destroyed.
Placing a GE emblem on the computer at NORAD/SAC command center---would have added another layer of realism to the movie
L-O-N-G cycle times
Suds error message
Slow spin speeds
Intermittent water leaks (from rear of washer)
And other annoying symptoms which vary brand-to brand.
The *correct* amount of HE (High Efficiency) detergent that should be used in any front load or agitatorless top load washer with tub sizes 3.0 cu ft and larger is as follows:
HE: (2) Tablespoons Per Wash Load
HE 2X: (1) Tablespoon
HE 3X: (1) Teaspoon
Perform a TUB CLEAN CYCLE every (4) months.
Use: "Tide Washing Machine Cleaner"
