Hi
Anyone have a solution (indicator Led or audible alarm kit) for a door left ajar on the refer. The left door does not close by itself and gets left ajar often. I like this fridge but hate the left door. Will I have to stand by the box with a baseball bat to make sure my family gets it closed?

Oh, this is a fridge....since no model number was left, I thought the subject was 'bout some girl, Amana Dutch, who has a habit of leaving her doors open. If I wasn't married, I would've asked for her digits. But since I'm spoken for and since this is a fridge repair forum, the only digits needed are for the model number.

Appliantology is, however appliances are not, an exact science for I know there are a few refrigerators that actually hate me.

Amana AFF2534FEB is the model.
I'm wondering if anyone makes a 110v electronic beeper or signal I can hook up to the light circuit. The door was open so long this last time that the bulbs burned out.
Thanks

Look into 'personal door alarms'....just mount the alarm to the top of the refer and the 'trigger' to the door..........do not know if the time is adjustable to sound after XX amount of time the door is open............if not the alarm will sound any time the left door is opened.... :whistling: ................

RT8100 is a fully programmable two channel fridge/freezer alarm thermometer.
Insert one probe in the freezer and one in the fridge, set the high and low temperature limits,
and the RT8100 alarms when your product is outside your limits
Each channel can be set to alarm at any temperature from -40°F to 158°F.
Preset limits are included, but are user programmable.
Choose an audible or LED alarm for notification.

If the temperature returns to normal while you are away, a caution symbol will remain on the display to prompt you.
Min/Max will also indicate the highest and lowest temperatures reached during your monitoring cycle.
Each probe includes a suction cup holder with three feet of small gauge cable to attach into place and secure in the closed door.
The RT8100 takes two standard AAA batteries and includes a convenient fold out stand and magnetic rear panel clips.
