Yes, we got a typical short power hit the other day - just enough to make all the AC powered clocks to reset. But the timer function in the wall oven (Bosch HBL8450UC/07) now runs almost double speed (clicks off 10 minutes of timer in 6 real minutes) and affects the clock and timer functions. Is there a repair manual or schematic for the oven? I checked Repair Clinic and they don't appear to have the control board, so where can I get that? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
--joe

The user interface board is a MFG. Part# 703850 and the control module is Part # 657431

should be able to call bosch direct and get them.

Ok -- chock this up to 'try before more troubleshooting'. Just "for grins" I went to the breaker panel and turned the oven breaker off, waited a couple minutes, and then turned it back on. Well, now it's back to keeping the time exactly correctly. The speed-up factor (10m in 6m real) kinda implies it might have had something to do with US 60Hz vs Euro 50Hz, but it would seem odd to not be using an internal crystal clock oscillator to base the time on. Regardless - it be fixed...

.. but it would seem odd to not be using an internal crystal clock oscillator to base the time on.

usually AC powered devices us the Line Frequency for the time base..
