My washing machine broke and I had watched some videos from britishjames.com and was so suprised how easy it was to repair that I ordered his course on repairing and selling used washers and dryers.

The problem I'm having is that I can't find a place to pick up a lot of used sets in one trip. I asked at sears and some other appliance stores about the haul away machines they pick up and you'd think I had asked about a two headed donkey. :teehee:

Any suggestions on where to find used machines before they head to the melt down plant in the South Chicago to Central Illinois area?

Try the mom and pop appliance stores, they may be more willing to give you their customers old machines.

Thanks guys. I haven't had much luck with any of the small appliance stores around here, and I am having limited success with Craigslist.
Maybe I just need more patience.

Place an ad for "free pickup of old washers and dryers". Be willing to take the good with the bad. Also place ad for the machines you sell and ask what happened with the old one and give them $25 off the one you are selling if they bring it in.
