GE sxs PSC23MGNACC no water at dispenser

6 posts in this topic

Disconnected tube at lower freezer door, water shoots out at connector.

Tried to heat tube at dispenser, no go.

Tried to fish wire from both ends of tube, still no go.

Question:

Will wr49x10173 heater kit work for this model?

Also, if anyone has installed one of these, where do the wires connect?

Can you coach me through the disassmbly of the dispenser without destroying it?

Thanks for any help.

Question:

Instructions as provide by the Great One make the installation quite easy. With regards to removing the ice from the tube....once again I have had luck with none other than my handy dandy steamer. I've had good results with shooting steam from the tubing at the bottom and through the spout. But the kit is necessary for prevention.

Yes, you still need to do the repair since the problem will reoccur.

get a small screwdriver or pointy object and press in the tabs from below the touch pad. Instructions come with the kit and quite easy

You get some splicing thingamadoodles with the kit..(red things in the following picture) per instructions ..simple, just clamp the watchimacallits on designated wires and ta da!. .Bob's your uncle! Then strut around the kitchen shouting "yoo hoo! "Who's yo daddy?" "How ya like me now", 'I be da man!" .."dont taze me bro!" or simply say them to yourself while asking for the check.
