F51 error code. Requesting service manual and interpretation of error code.

This is an intermittent connection at the RPS. Disconnect/reconnect the RPS at least three times to clear oxidation on the contacts. If that doesn't fix it, install the upgraded control which checks the RPS differently to eliminate the error ==> http://www.repaircli...umber=W10130544

F then 51 flashes when there is a motor rotor position sensor (RPS) failure or lower harness problem.

While this is an accurate quote from the tech sheet, it does not reflect the current information from the service bulletin. The corrective action is as I posted.
