Hey Samurai,
can u help me.
I just bought this unit brand new in the box from an appliance guy on ebay.
I got it, plugged it in to test it before installing it and it only raises then hums loudly.
The fan never comes on and I can only lower it by disconnecting it and letting it lower by manually flicking the "clicker" switch on the motor, i believe.
I have studied the wiring schematic very closely and think I basically understand it, but cannot troubleshoot it "alone".
Can u help me?
I am willing to repair it rather than return it, even though the seller is very uncooperative on the sale.
I got it for a very good price, new in box, "older model".
Do these units have problems usually?
And what is the usual problem.
I would like to order any needed part but to buy all the parts for it will cost more than I paid for unit.
Thanks in advance,
scott
P.S. In the email u said u thought it was the limit switch.
In this unit the 2 switches on all in one unit it seems.

Does the fan turn free? Is there packing materials in the fan area?
