Hi,

I have a Roper RED4440VQ1 that is about 2 years old. Recently, the dryer stopped producing heat. I thought it might be the heating element until today when I tried to put it on the "High Heat 30 Minute Load" to tumble. When I took the clothes out, they were warm, so therefore the heating element and fuse must be working. What other problem could it be? Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks.

How would I test to see if it's the timer? Also, the part is about $70. Is it difficult to replace myself?

... How would I test to see if it's the timer?
... Is it difficult to replace myself?

1) just double-check the symptoms ... if the Heater circuit works at all. chances are it's a bad Timer
2) just "plugs-in"
