GE TFX24PRXAAA Ice Maker not making ice

Sooooo, is it my ice maker? Any way to test it (it looks like the GE relpacement you are selling)? And lastly, did I fry my water inlet valve? Any way to get the valve to close?

I have seen an ice maker just break down (warn gears), but with your experience, have you seen them break in that it would appear to be mechanically working but stop calling for water electrically?

The freezer is definately cold enough (0 degrees). The feed tube was verified NOT frozen.
A thanks to all who provided feedback and to all those challeling good karma my way for a simple, less expensive repair.

The "Tim the Tool Man" in me says to grab a cutting plier and cut down the plastic and make it fit. What am I missing? Thanks.
