Anybody know how to disassemble a Miele DA250 Island Vent Hood?

Tried attacking it from below, but no luck. The piece with the lights would not come out at all.

Thought maybe we might have to come in from the top, which is a shelf, but the panels are metal and are glued down. Do we need to use a heat gun to soften up the adhesive to pop them out? Seems a bit drastic.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
