Sub-Zero 642: Power on - no error codes - won't run

For some time the freezer evap fan has been getting progressively louder (sounding like a low growling noise). Called SZ and hey recommended that I first attempt to perform manual defrost of the freezer to confirm that no ice is built up on the freezer evap fan.
So, I performed the freezer shut-off (hold "Warmer" key while powering back up) -- freezer off. Thought I'd also take a look at the evap to see what it looks like while cold, so I removed the "L-shaped" back panel to expose the evap -- didn't appear to be any ice build-up on evap or fan. Let the unit sit for approximately 8 hours.
Reinstalled "L-shaped" panel and then re-opened fridge to turn the unit back on. Noticed that the fridge was quite warm (60deg) and recycled the power. I thought that everything would return to normal, but nothing happened. Tried recycling power again, and that didn't work so I reset the circuit breaker (10 minutes off). Nothing. 8 hours later the unit is still quiet... and warmer. There are no service lights or fault codes displayed in the control panel.
Any thoughts on why this simple procedure seems to have gone south? Better yet, any solutions ;-)

Thank you for your reply! However, I just noticed that my unit was (somehow) accidentally switched to "Showroom" mode. When I switched out of that mode, everything worked fine.
