I woke up in the middle of the night to get a glass of water and i heard a strange humming sound coming out of the ice maker. I opened the door and much to my surprise, water and ice came flowing out on the floor. The ice bin is sealed when the door is closed so I guess water kept coming in and not makeing ice but the bin did not drain the water. Do I have more than one problem? There was ice in the bin but probably left over, I guess. So, the bin did not drain and where did the water come from? The drain was not covered but it doesn't drain. Is there a pump that drains the water. It was just cleaned a month ago and the clean light is not red.

Didn't catch yer model # there brother...
how did you stop gap the flooding and ice out the door? Once it cascaded out, did it pretty much stop?
what I am trying toto see is if the water valve was stuck open...seems you definitely have a drain problem...need to determne if this is a gravity drain or pump. Is this right beside a sink?

I will get the model number for sure tonight, but I think it isZDI15C . In a panic, I pulled the electrical plug to stop the water flow and I wasn't coherent enough to think about trying to troubleshoot the problem. There must be a pump to drain it because it could not gravity flow to the drain and the drain pipe is flexible tubing. It is under the counter and beside the sink but not "right besides the sink".
