i have a customer  that has maytag stack unit washer model no is se1000.  her complaint is smell something  burning.   removed the drive belt, sure the belt is burnt.   i just change the stem and bearing kit.  main drive belt does not turn, but pump belt turns and drain the water out.  do i need to change the transmission.  I have not change the stack transmission yet.  do i need the brake tools to take off brake assembly first ????

Did it work for a while after you changed the stem and bearing kit?  And how long ago did you change it?
