All Appliantology tech members are invited to join in this workshop on all things Appliantological.
We have a special session planned for this one. Instead of the usual Show 'n Tell on a technical topic, we're going to post tech sheets in the comments to this Calendar Event (scroll down to see what's posted so far) and ask specific questions that can only be answered by reading the tech sheet. If you at least try to answer the questions beforehand, you'll get a lot more out of it.
I'll be posting a couple more tech sheets before Saturday so be sure to follow this event to keep up with the tech sheets we'll be going through.
Who: This workshop is only available to tech members at Appliantology.
When: Saturday, April 27 @10:00 AM Eastern Time.
      Where: Online via Zoom
      How:
Click here to go to the forum topic with the registration link. If you're interested, register now. Arrive a couple minutes early to make sure your connection is working. Set a reminder for yourself for this workshop so you don’t miss it.  And check out past workshops here: https://appliantology.org/announcement/33-webinar-recordings-index-page/

My father thinks that his KitchenAide fridge runs and doesn't cycle off. I've checked everything that I can on it and am unable to find any problems. I told him that if ran all the time the milk would be frozen but he's convinced that something is wrong with the unit.

Does anyone have the service manual showing how to get this into diagnostic mode so that I can see if there really is a problem possibly with the thermistors or thermostat board.

Any help is appreciated.

First, I'd check (and post) the Fridge and Freezer temperatures,

then get (and post) a picture of the frost pattern of the Evaporator Coils inside the Freezer

Thanks for the tip Reg, but I think you're missing my point.

There is nothing wrong with the fridge. Temps are normal. No frost buildup on the evap coil. I checked all that. The only thing I found was a minor buildup of dust on the condensor coil and I vacuumed that out. I just want to run diagnostics to convince my father that there is no problems.

My father thinks that his KitchenAide fridge runs and doesn't cycle off.

does it cycle OFF ?

Running diagnostic won't tell him that...

Evaporator frost pattern would tell something

If Fridge / Freezer temps are OK, then turning the Cold Control down a little should turn the Compressor OFF
