no water fill--------checked water supply line and good water pressure to water valve-----checked water overflow and the float is free and the switch is working------checked with my little stick voltage detector on wires to valve(while machine was running and trying to fill)and it beeped and flashed. i didnt see a way to do the regular voltage test because the wires to valve were super thin wires that went into a tiny covereed plug and the plug attaches to valve inside a plastic housing it clicks into (the plug containing both wires is smaller than the width of an ink pen) ACTION- canged out water valve still no water enters machine--dazed and confused any ideas

... checked with my little stick voltage detector on wires to valve(while machine was running and trying to fill)and it beeped and flashed.

that's why I don't like to use voltage sticks...
The Water Valve has L1 constant 120v through the Float Switch.
The Controller sends the Neutral to energize the Water Valve.
To check for 120v across the Water Valve connectors,
you may have to improvise, and carefully use some thin extension wires on your Meter Probes.
May be a bad Controller...

This water valve appears to be built just like the ones on the KitchenAid and Whirlpool models with those tiny wires and special connectors.

If it is, there are two pads just behind the white plastic connector body on the top side of the coil that can be accessed with your meter probes with all connections attached.

You may have to disconnect the valve from the body of the dishwasher and let it hang down to see and access the test spots.
